Lighthouse arm receives Sipp authorisation

Lighthouse Group’s City Trustees division has received authorisation from the FSA to establish and operate personal pension schemes including Sipps with effect from April 6.

City Pensions Limited, which trades as City Trustees, administers close to 1,000 Sipps and a further 200 SSASs with client assets in excess of £280m.

Lighthouse chief executive Malcolm Streatfield says: “This authorisation will provide our customers with even greater assurance when planning for their retirement.

Lighthouse is well positioned to capitalise on the pension simplification changes and we believe this regulation will prove to be a key driver in the growth of an expanding Sipp market.”
