LifeQuote updates IP comparison software

Direct Life has updated its LifeQuote protection portal to automatically take into account income protection providers’ criteria when it comes to continued payouts for own occupation claims.

Direct Life says advisers have previously struggled to assess the different policies providers have in place for own occupation claims after the first 12 months.

The LifeQuote system has now been updated to factor in this so-called “secondary level of disability” definition.

LifeQuote sales and marketing director Neil McCarthy says: “The aim of our new system is to give advisers greater confidence and understanding of the actual definitions offered within the products.

“Advisers can be confident the definition shown in their results is the complete definition their customer will receive upon claim, without having to spend time reviewing the full illustration and key features to complete their research.”
