LIA elects new president

The LIA has announced Gavin Tisshaw will be its new president for the year which began May 2.

Tisshaw, who is chairman of the Berkshire IFA Executive Advisory Services, was elected vice-president last year and automatically assumes the office of the president this year.

At its annual conference in London last week, IFA Jonathan Battersby was elected vice-president, meaning he will become president in a year&#39s time. Battersby is principal of the Edinburgh based IFA Jonathan Battersby & CO.

The professional body has also announced the election of two new directors to the Board. Zurich director of government and industry affairs Karl Snowden and IFA Peers Group principal Roger O&#39Brart are replacing outgoing directors Bob Pierce and Peter Sprung.
