LGIM appoints head of global credit

Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Marion Stommel as head of global credit

Stommel joins LGIM from WestLB Mellon Asset Management where she was responsible for the management of their credit team and the development of international business.

Stomel joined WMAM in 1998 and has since held a variety of roles within the firm including head of corporate credit and structured finance.

She will be responsible for leading LGIM’s London-based investment grade credit capability. Her role will focus on managing and developing talent, enhancing our investment processes, and working closely with LGIM’s distribution team. Stommel will report to head of credit Roger Bartley.
