Legal & General has announced plans to boost governance of its master trust by inviting members to attend an annual general meeting next year.
The provider says the AGM will give members the opportunity to hear about how their savings are invested and governed and to voice any issues they have with the trustees.
An L&G spokesman says the meeting is likely to be held in the second half of 2014. He says the scheme has around 250,000 members.
Paul Trickett, the chairman of L&G’s WorkSave master trust, says: “We now believe the time is right to take our collaborative approach to scheme governance further.
“We would like to invite master trust scheme members to participate in an open meeting at which they will be able to find out more about how their scheme operates and raise any issues which are of concern to them.”
