L&G to cut 200 extra jobs

Insurer Legal & General is in talks with unions to make 200 further job cuts within its UK risk division.

The division is spread across several sites, including Cardiff, Hove and Kingswood.

In May, L&G announced 560 redundancies after making 450 job cuts to support staff three months earlier.

L&G says the latest bout of potential redundancies are being by driven operational efficiencies and changing business demand.

A L&G spokesman says: “We will keep any potential redundancies to a minimum and will try to find suitable alternative employment for staff affected.”
