Legal & General is setting up dedicated regional IFA service teams to meet the needs of smaller IFAs around the country.
It started offering dedicated support desks for IFA networks and big national firms two years ago where it felt large volumes of business justified an exclusive service.
L&G is now expanding the service for smaller IFAs who can call a centre dedicated to their own geographical region.
Service teams will be created for Glasgow, Manch-ester, Leeds, Bristol, Bel-fast and London.
The service will be running by the end of March. L&G will be writing to IFAs to tell them of the service team number for their area. IFAs calling the number for their area are put through to a service team looking after enquiries for that group only.
Director (IFA division) Graham West says: “IFAs have been confused as to whether to call a local branch or the central call centre and they end up being passed around from pillar to post. This is about simplicity of access for IFAs, giving them a better quality of service.”
