L&G reshuffles senior management team

Legal & General has reshuffled its senior management team which will include a new managing director of its retail protection arm.

The insurer has appointed Duncan Finch, who was formerly its managing director of general insurance, as its new managing director of retail protection.

Former managing director of retail protection Peter Graham will become managing director of digital, customer and marketing, which is a newly created position.

L&G’s new managing director of group protection will be Jim Islam, who was previously finance director in the insurer’s savings division.

Managing director of group protection Diane Buckley is to become managing director of general insurance.

Group executive director of protection and annuities John Pollock says: “Our key focus for the continued success of Legal & General’s protection and annuities business is to ensure we have high quality products, a broad distribution, positive customer experience and a high performing culture. We believe we can continue to achieve this with the added value that the experts in our business are able to bring. The new appointments reflect the strength and depth of expertise that we have within our businesses.”
