L&G offers carry forward/carry back tool

Legal & General is offering IFAs a carry back/carry forward pensions tool to help calculate unused tax relief.

The CD-based tool, targeting the run up to the January 2002 deadline for people to make up for missed pension contributions, can also print off Inland Revenue forms PP42 and PP43.

L&G pensions marketing director Andy Agar says: “If IFAs want to make sure their clients take advantage of this final opportunity and make up for missed pension contributions, as well as getting some extra tax relief, they must act before the deadline of January 31, 2002.”
