L&G Investments hires Scott White as head of comms

White joins firm’s marketing team in the newly created role.

Ex-Standard Life head of communications Scott White is joining Legal & General Investments as head of strategy and communications.

White will take up this newly-created role in the firm’s marketing department later this month.

A spokeswoman for L&G Investments says White’s appointment supports the company’s growth strategy.

White has previously been head of media at Royal London, director of corporate communications at Martin Currie and head of group media relations at Standard Life.

White also held the role of Aegon group public affairs manager for the UK for 13 years.

Syndaxi Chartered Financial Planners managing director Robert Reid says: “It is a good hire for L&G as they get an experienced and knowledgable individual for their team. Scott understands the industry, unlike some of the teams out there at the moment.

“Companies are starting to realise that some people who went back into private practice had the talent they need. Getting the company’s message across these days is really important.”
