L&G in bid to provide protection education

Legal & General has sent out over 9,000 sales aids to help advisers diversify into the family protection market.

It has distributed 3,000 copies of its Let’s Talk Protection DVD and 6,500 family protection packs.

The DVD aims to highlight best practice and maximise sales for family protection.

The family protection pack includes interviews with advisers and a guide for advisers.

Protection and housing PR manager Joe Wiggins says the objective is to make adv- isers experts in protection.

He says: “We came up with the idea for a DVD to bring case studies to life to exp- lain why family protection insurance is so important. The concept has gone down very well with brokers.”

He is calling on other product providers to follow suit. Wiggins says: “Adviser education is so important and it is vital that all providers play their part to improve the industry as a whole.”
