Legal and General is enhancing its group income protection proposition by offering employees face-to-face counselling sessions.
Five counselling sessions will be offered as part of the enhanced Employee Assistance Programme, provided by PPC Worldwide.
Additionally, L&G’s telephone-based EAP services will be provided to all employees whose companies have the group protection products, regardless of whether they are individually insured under the policy.
The EAP service includes immediate crisis intervention, a legal information service, free medical information, specialist advice on a range of life issues and online support.
Legal & General group protection managing director Jim Islam says: “We are delighted to be working with PPC Worldwide to offer these new services, making this set of products our most complete ever. By adding up to five free face-to-face counselling sessions, our GIP customers will get an excellent service that will provide benefits to both employer and employee. Sometimes over the phone counselling is simply not enough and so we are very pleased to be able to offer these sessions to those that need them”.
