Leeds & Holbeck Building Society appoints new chairman


Leeds & Holbeck Building Society has appointed Robert Wade as its new chairman.


Wade is also chairman of textile company the Leeds Group and a non-executive director of a number of other companies.


He takes over the role from Peter Hartley who retired on Monday after serving 20 years on the board.

Aberdeen Asset Management profits climbed 64 per cent to £5.9m from £3.6m for the six months ended March 31. Assets under management increased by 19 per cent to £15.6bn from £13.1bn including £335m of net new business and £440m worth of acquisitions.
