Lead-generation deal tests out the PMI market

Leadbay is testing a private medical insurance lead-generation service for advisers.

It claims to guarantee to refund any lead costs if an adviser is unable to contact a client. Advisers can pick prospective clients depending on if they want personal PMI or group protection and choose how many clients they talk to.

Managing director Grant Stevens says: “We are testing the leads with Best Health UK and Chase Templeton to ensure we have everything exactly right, then we will make the leads available more widely.”

Master Adviser IFA Roy McLoughlin says offering PMI leads may be a good way for mortgage or investment brokers to get into the protection market. He says: “There are probably a significant number of people who want to know more about PMI but do not know where to go.”
