It enables intermediaries not authorised to give equity-release advice to refer clients to a panel of equity-release specialist advisers through Goldsmith Williams’ online portal, GW Live.
The firm says the service was launched due to growing demand for equity-release advice from their clients.
Senior partner Eddie Goldsmith says: “Our clients trust us to give good recommendations and that is great to know.
“Equity release is one of the few market sectors which is growing at the moment. Intermediaries are therefore eager to be able to capitalise on this opportunity but many are not qualified to provide equity-release advice themselves. This proposition will open up the equity-release market to all advisers.”
GW Lifetime manager Richard Espley says: “Brokers have told us that they want the ability to provide their clients with a comprehensive service which includes equity release, without being distracted from their primary house purchase and remortgage markets. We also have a team of dedicated equity-release experts at hand to answer any queries that brokers may have.”
