Lawyer extends referral service

Peninsula, the employment law consultancy, is to extend its referral-based service to all IFAs following a successful trial period.

Five hundred IFAs active in the corporate market have joined in partnership with Peninsula over the seven-month trial period.

The relationship involves IFAs referring corporate clients who may need from legal advice to Peninsula.

Peninsula shares the fee on a successful referral with the IFA.

Head of corporate development Russell Guest says IFAs can earn the same income from a referral as they would from advising a client on an investment of £25,000 lump sum to a unit trust or investment bond.

The company plans to develop its venture by working with big IFA networks, regional IFAs and employee benefit consultants. It will offer increased support and services, including a helpline facility for IFAs and access to their seminar team.

Peninsula hopes that running customised seminars will create more business for IFAs.

Guest says: “This partnership will appeal to those looking to increase their market share through providing a differential service. IFAs will benefit by saving time and money as well as enhancing their client relationship through increased loyalty.”
