Lack of information turning investors off internet dealing

Lack of good quality information is turning 74 per cent of investors away from using the internet, according to NOP research for Merrill Lynch HSBC.

When asked what put them off investing with an online dealing company lack of investment research information was cited by most of those questioned.

Next most off-putting was an unfamiliar name, as well as people finding the internet too complicated, while 55 per cent said the lack of personal contact with a company representative would put them off.
