Kelly returns to Sesame as MD

Thinc operations director Nick Kelly is to return to Sesame as its network and direct managing director.

Kelly, who is to leave Thinc in the next three months, will lead the day-to-day business of the life and pension divisions of Sesame, reporting to group sales and marketing director Stephen Young. Kelly started his career stockbroking before becoming sales director at IFA Network and Financial Options, two of the five networks that merged to form Sesame.

He became managing director of Tenet subsidiaries M&E, Interdependence and IFA Professional Services in 2002.

Young says: “We would not bring in anyone at such a senior level that is not capable of delivering change. Nick will be instrumental in helping to drive Sesame forward to the next level and developing our range of services for both network members and directly regulated advisers.”

Kelly says: “I am very excited at the prospect of joining Sesame at such a pivotal time in the company’s evolution. I have been impressed by the management’s commitment to both enhance the current range of core services and also to develop new tailored propositions, which more closely align to advisers’ own business models. I am looking forward to working with the team and members, as we take the network and direct businesses forward together.”
