Keith Popplewell

Personality of the year was taken by well-known figure Keith Popplewell. On the night of the ceremony host and TV personality Jonathon Ross described the winner as &#34A man whose commitment to professional development has made him one of the most sought after speakers in the country&#34 and its Popplewell&#39s commitment to the training of IFAs that took him to the sought after top spot this year.
Pipped to second was Scottish Life head of pensions strategy Steve Bee. Bee says: &#34I was absolutely delighted, but if IFAs don&#39t vote me top next year I&#39ll be very upset! Its very difficult to encapsulate some of the complex ideas on pensions clearly and without being boring. ScotLife has been very clear on what we think and IFAs have packed out our tours and thanked us for what we have been saying.&#34
Inspite of purposefully lowering his profile following the formation of the Association of IFAs, industry big-hitter former IFA Association chairman Garry Heath scooped third for his ongoing contributions to the intermediary channel. Heath in previous year&#39s has taken the honour of personality of the year an unprecedented eight times.
