Keir is joining Swip in UK equities investment role

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has appointed David Keir as investment director UK equities.

Keir is a chartered accountant and joins Swip from Edinburgh Fund Managers where he has been investment manager covering UK equities.

He will take charge of retail and institutional business, including research, replacing Graham Campbell who left the firm to set up Edinburgh Partners.

Keir&#39s appointment follows the recent appointments of Peter Cockburn, Joel Marks and David Urch and brings the number of fund managers in Swip&#39s UK equity team to 14.

Head of UK equities Robert Waugh says: “We now have a full complement of investment directors in our UK equity team who are all skilled analysts as well as fund managers. Swip&#39s investment process has an emphasis on company research and David&#39s skills and experience will be an invaluable addition.”
