Jupiter director returns

One of the seven Jupiter directors who resigned in protest at the dismissal of chairman John Duffield is returning to the board.

Michael Heathcoat-Amory’s return to the investment management company comes ahead of Duffield’s High Court case on Monday (November 20).

Duffield is suing Jupiter for £15 million claiming unfair dismissal.

He is also setting up his own fund management company called New Star, with former Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette in Europe chairman Martin Smith.
