Bareau will be responsible for coordinating the firm’s global emerging markets debt investment teams across the globe. He joins from Fortis Investments where he has been the chief investment officer for emerging market debt for more than ten years.

JPMAM has been looking to ramp up its capabilities in the fixed income space following the appointment of Michele from Schroders last year.
