JPMAM appoints global equity income co-manager

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed James Davidson as co-portfolio manager on its JPM Global Equity Income Strategy including its JPM Global Equity Income fund and the JPMF Global Dividend fund.

Davidson joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was in charge of the global equities desk.

He will work alongside JPM senior portfolio manager Gerd Woort-Menker who remains lead fund manager.

Davidson will assist Woort-Menker in identifying dividend growth stock ideas.

JPM head of global equities Howard Williams says: “he Global Equity Income category is strategically important for us, so we are delighted to be able to add James to our well established team.

“Having him on the ground here in London will allow us to better leverage our significant research resource, will provide additional focus on our Global Equity Income funds, and will allow us to achieve a higher profile with clients.”
