Jones joins Jupiter’s green team

Jupiter Asset Management has recruited Aled Jones from Innovest to join its socially responsible investment unit.

Jones has joined the renamed socially responsible and governance team – formerly the socially responsible investment unit – bringing experience of analysis of retail and pharmaceutical companies’ environmental, social and corporate governance performance.

The unit, which now has eight staff, was set up over 16 years ago to analyse the environmental and social implications of the activities of listed companies.

Head of socially responsible investment and governance Emma Howard Boyd says: “Our research into the successful implementation and breadth of a company’s corporate governance activity is beginning to play a key role in assessing their investment suitability for Jupiter funds.”


Jupiter funds of funds bag AA-ratings

Jupiter’s Merlin Income and Merlin Growth funds of funds, managed by John Chatfeild-Roberts have been upgraded from AA to AAA-rated by Standard & Poor’s. S&P say the funds have ” produced consistently strong performance using a rigorous process with strong sell disciplines.”
