Jonathan Cornell moves to IFA

Former Hamptons Mortgages managing director Jonathan Cornell has joined IFA First Action Finance as head of communications.

Cornell left Hamptons Mortgages after it was wound down by its estate agent parent Hamptons International in February. He has take up his new role on a part-time basis.

Cornell joins 15 former Hamptons mortgage brokers and three former Cobalt Capital brokers at London-based First Action Finance, which also took on all of Hamptons mortgage referrals.

Cornell says his job will be to promote First Action Finance in both the mortgage and IFA sector.



FSA staff paid £20m in bonuses

The FSA paid its staff £19.7m in bonuses last month, a 40 per cent increase on last year’s payouts, according to figures obtained by the Liberal Democrats.
