Jeremy Charles leaves Swip

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has confirmed the departure of fund manager Jeremy Charles, manager of the Scottish Widows UK Growth fund.

Charles is the latest manager to leave the business since the repositioning of its equities strategy was announced in April

A spokeswoman says: “The repositioning of our equities strategy involved a reduction of 23 roles across our equities business. Jeremy was one of those equity colleagues impacted by this change in strategy.”

The fund was included in the latest edition of Bestinvest’s ‘Spot the Dog’ report.

The asset manager announced its restructured global equities team in May and last week announced the appointment of William Low as director of equities, who will oversee the global equity and specialist equity teams.
