Jemma Barnard joins Henderson

Henderson Global Investors has appointed Jenna Barnard as co-fund manager for the Henderson preference and bond fund and the Henderson strategic high yield bond fund.

Barnard has been working with John Pattulo on the funds as deputy portfolio manager since 2003, having joined as a credit analyst in 2002, focusing on investment grade and high yield industrial names.

The strategic high yield bond fund uses a variety of fixed-income assets such as preference shares, convertibles, corporate bonds and gilts.

Head of fixed income David Jacob says: We are delighted with the new appointment of Jenna. She excelled in her role as deputy portfolio manager and we are fully expectant that she will continue to develop and this will be reflected in the performances of the funds. It is also a very exciting development that Jenna is now co-managing the fund with John. They are a strong partnership and both bring an enormous amount of knowledge and expertise to the team. Their performance speaks for itself.
