Jelf Group has announced its acquisition of Manson Insurance Group, Bartlett Davies Bicks Ltd and Carter & Co Risk Management Ltd, bringing its total amount of insurance and healthcare premiums to £320m.
The Manson Group focuses on financial services, general insurance and healthcare and the acquisition will increase the amount of premiums that Jelf places with insurance companies by £45m.
Jelf says its acquisition of Bartlett Davies Bicks and Carter & Co. Risk Management will together increase premiums placed with insurance providers in healthcare and insurance by around £6m.
Jelf has also announced a placing of £45m, which it says will be used to capitalise on future acquisition opportunities, to fund infrastructure investment and to reduce the group’s debt.
Jelf Group chief executive Alex Alway says: “These acquisitions bring some very experienced IFAs to the group and increase our staff numbers to approximately 800 people.
“Karl and Tina Hanson from BDB, and Paul Carter and Steve Joint from CRM, will significantly strengthen our presence in Devon. Equally, we are genuinely excited to be working with Jon Manson and his team in the North West and are looking forward to developing joint growth plans.”
