Former Henderson man James Gledhill will join Axa Investment Managers’ global fixed income team, it has been confirmed.
Gledhill has been appointed as the team’s global head of high yield and deputy head of credit and will take up his new position on June 27.
In this role, he will take over from Hannah Strasser as the leader of Axa’s US credit division, after she departs the firm on June 22.
He will report to both Theo Zemek, the global head of Axa’s fixed income division, and Graham Nicol, who heads its credit department.
Most recently, Gledhill ran a number of bond funds at Henderson and was with New Star Asset Management prior to its acquisition by Henderson. He has also worked for Aviva, M&G and Prudential M&G.
