Prudential has launched an apprenticeship scheme with 50 places for young people in vocational training roles.

Recruitment for the scheme will run between November and December and offers young people places in London, Reading and Stirling. Once selected, apprentices will take up their place on the 12 to 18-month course in early 2013.

Pru says it is focusing its advertising for the places on the National Apprenticeship Service and Apprenticeships in Scotland.

Prudential UK human resources director Cathy Lewis says: “We will create real opportunities for our apprentices based around real roles and provide on-the-job training that will give them a recognised qualification, while demonstrating that Prudential is a great place to learn and build interesting and rewarding careers.”

Pru is partnering with Capita to deliver training for the apprenticeship scheme.
