Best Mortgage Lender: Nationwide

At a time when rates are at record lows, differentiation between lenders’ products becomes harder to pin down. Nationwide was named Best Mortgage Lender not just because of its rates, which brokers say are competitive, but also because of the ease of placing business with the building society. Brokers also commend Nationwide for its efficiency, customer service, and its online mortgage system. One broker said Nationwide is “one of the easier lenders to deal with” while others praised Nationwide’s high street presence and mutual model. Another broker said: “Nationwide is a well respected lender, with an excellent range of competitive products and balanced underwriting decisions.”
