The Best Mortgage Adviser category was closely fought with the judges deliberating long and hard over a decision.
But this year the gong goes to Mortgage Advice Bureau for its overall contribution to the mortgage market, knocking last year’s winner London & Country Mortgages off the top spot.
The quality of advice on offer of all the shortlisted firms was deemed to be high, but what tipped the judges in MAB’s favour was the breadth of its offering.
One judge said: “What piped it for me is they not only have a strong offering but they also want to put something back into the industry.”
Another said: “Peter Brodnicki has positioned himself as a leader in the industry – and not purely for the benefit of his own firm, which showed through.”
