iShares ETFs see 77m in inflows in a month

77m has flowed into the 14 new Barclays iShares exchange traded funds launched on the London Stock Exchange last month.

The MCSI world index fund and Dow Jones Euro Stoxx funds have doubled and tripled in size since launch and average daily turnover for all 14 funds on the LSE has been 535,000.

Exchange traded funds allow investors to buy a basket of stocks from a particular region of the world at lower trading cost than buying more conventional investment funds. The iShares European dividend, global and UK dividend funds have been most popular since launch.
