IP website aims at public

The Income Protection Task Force has set up a consumer website to highlight the importance of income protection. stresses the need for IP, explains how recent changes will affect state benefit entitlement and outlines the claim procedure.

Joint chairman Clive Waller says: “Consumers have got to know that IP is arguably the most important insurance you can buy and the chances of claiming are far greater than, say, life cover. Too many believe it will not happen to them.” He adds that a series of roadshows will support its campaign.

Taskforce member and Master Adviser IFA Roy McLoughlin says: “I would hope that advisers can use it as a reference and to glean information.”
