Investment update

Jupiter will be setting up stalls at 15 UK venues to catch last-minute Isa applications on April 4-5. The locations cover all the UK&#39s major cities. All collection points are open from 9am-6pm on April 4 and from 9am-4pm on April 5. The London and West Malling points will stay open until 11.55pm.

Aberdeen is offering a 1 per cent discount on its range of 27 unit trusts and Oeics until the end of the tax year. The discount applies to all lump-sum investments.

Collins Stewart Fund Management is to offer a European focus fund investing in a concentrated portfolio of around 30 European stocks. The fund, which will be domiciled in Guernsey, will be managed by Rod Sleath using a value-based approach. It is expected to launch on April 4.

Star Newton Income fund manager Robert Shelton, who was involved in a car accident two weeks ago, will not return to his job for several months. Clive Beagles and Stuart Eaton will take responsibility for managing the UK desk in his absence. John Wood, who manages the UK opportunities fund, will take control of Shelton&#39s income fund while Stuart Eaton will take over the managed fund. Suzanne Rogers will assume resp-onsibility for the RBS balanced fund. Shelton is expected to return to work as soon as he has made a full recovery.
