Investec Wealth poaches quartet for Edinburgh office

Investec Wealth & Investment has made four senior investment appointments from Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management for its Edinburgh-based team.

The quartet includes DAWM managing director Grant Milne, who will join IW&I in September 2013. All four will join the firm as senior investment directors.

David Henderson and Ian Smith will join IW&I in November 2013.

Henderson has been an investment director at DAWM for 10 years, previously working at Robert Fleming and Tilney Investment Management. Smith was also an investment director at DAWM, working there for eight years and previously working at Wood Mackenzie & Co and Edinburgh Fund Managers.

Gordon McAndrew will join these three early next year, after heading the DAWM discretionary management team in Edinburgh and sitting on the firm’s UK investment committee.

IW&I divisional director for Edinburgh Murray Mackay says: “[The four] bring with them substantial experience in managing portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pension funds.

“Working closely with our existing team, they will play an important role in expanding our presence in Edinburgh and throughout Scotland.”
