Type: Capital-protected bond

Aim: Growth linked to the performance of the FTSE 100 index

Minimum-maximum investment: £1,500-£1m, Isa £10,200

Term: Five years

Return: 70% of the original investment provided the index is above its initial value at the end of the term

Protection: Original capital returned in full at the end of the term provided the index does not fall by more than 50% without returning to at least its initial value

Closing date: December 31, 2010, December 17, 2010 for Isa transfers

Commission: Initial 3.5%, initial 1.25% plus renewal 0.5%, or initial 1%

After growing at an average rate of five per cent over the past decade, the IMF projects an acceleration to 5.5 per cent growth among Sub-Saharan economies in the next two years, as developed economies emerge from the crisis. We expect this growth to be sustainable for three broad reasons.
