Type: Capital-protected bond

Aim: Income and the return of capital linked to the performance of the FTSE 100 index

Minimum-maximum investment: £1,500-£1m, Isa £7,200

Term: Five years

Return: Option 1 – 7% income a year regardless of index performance plus 1% bonus provided the index is above its initial value, option 2 – 0.55% income a month regardless of index performance plus 0.08% bonus provided the index is above its initial value

Guarantee: Original capital returned in full at the end of the term provided the index does not fall by more than 50% without returning to at least its initial value

Closing date: October 2, 2009, September 18, 2009 for Isa transfers

Commission: Initial 3%
