Investec Asset Manage-ment has made four key appointments to boost its fixed-income capability.
The strengthened team, now with 25 people, is one of the biggest fixed-income teams in the retail market, with responsibility for more than £11bn in fixed-interest assets.
John Stopford, the driving force behind Investec's South African fixed income business, is now heading the UK fixedincome team and driving the investment process and client returns.
He also take responsibility for the Investec's global fixed-income investment strategy, asset allocation and risk.
Stopford has further enhanced the team by hiring Anna Lees-Jones, formerly of M&G, and former head of UK fixed income at Invesco Andrew Farrell as senior sterling portfolio managers. Kieran Roane has also joined as a credit analyst.
