Investec hands UK alpha fund reins to Rodrigs

Investec Asset Management has appointed Philip Rodrigs as lead manager on the Investec UK alpha fund.

Current lead manager Ken Hsia is to remain as an alternate manager of the fund and will continue to run the asset manager’s segregated UK unconstrained mandates.

Rodrigs is currently portfolio manager of the Investec UK smaller companies fund.

Investec managing director of the UK client group David Aird says: “Rodrigs will continue to focus on delivering outstanding risk-adjusted returns for our investors in the smaller companies fund.

“Given the additional resource we have added to the UK 4Factor equity team over the past year, it is a natural step to expand his responsibility to include the UK alpha fund, a multi-cap fund which leverages the wider team’s large cap focus and also allows Rodrigs to draw on his proven small cap experience.”
