Investec expands Swiss team

Investec Bank has appointed Philipp Schmahl as senior investment practitioner to its bank in Switzerland.

Based in Zurich, Schmahl will develop the bank’s existing wealth management services alongside the London-based private bank and Investec Trust in Geneva. He joins from Goldman Sachs where he worked as an executive director in the investment management division.

Investec Private Bank global head Steve Heilbron says: “We are delighted that we have recruited somebody of Philipp’s calibre to join our Swiss team. He brings with him extensive experience and will play an important role in developing our unique range of specialist wealth management services for the benefit of our clients both in Switzerland and across Europe.”
