Investec announces new portfolio manager

Investec Asset Management has announced the appointment of Richard Benson as a portfolio manager in its currency management team.

Benson will report directly to the head of currency management Thanos Papasavvas.

He previously worked for Fisher Francis Trees and Watts as a currency portfolio manager, after serving as a warfare officer in The Royal Navy.

Papasavvas says: “When I came to Investec Asset Management two years ago it was my ambition to build on the 20-year heritage that Investec has in this area and to develop our specialist skills so that this business could continue to be a leading-edge pioneer in this sector. To that end our new team member, Richard, brings with him valuable experience to complement the skill set we already have.”
