Invesco Perpetual appoints new corporate finance director

Invesco Perpetual has appointed Guy Short as finance director for its London-based specialist funds team.

Short joins the group from the investment trust division of F&C Asset Management where he was company secretary for F&C’s colonial Eurotrust and the US smaller companies investment trust.

Before joining F&C Short was a director of corporate broking at Merrill Lynch. In his new role he will wpork closely with head of specialist fund services Angus Pottinger.

Invesco Perpetual head of specialist funds Graeme Proudfoot says: “Our specialist fund business is an important and growing part of Invesco Perpetual and adding someone of Guy’s calibre underlines our commitment to quality in that area.”
