Invesco appoints pair of managers to Euro equities team

Invesco Perpetual has appointed Oliver Collin as fund manager of both the Invesco Continental European Small Cap Equity fund and the Invesco Euro Equity fund.

Collin will manage the Continental European Small Cap Equity fund alongside lead manager Erik Esselink, and the Euro Equity fund alongside lead manager Jeff Taylor.

Collin was previously an analyst within the European equities team having joined Invesco in 2014. Prior to that he led the pan-European mid-cap sales team at Exane BNP Paribas.

As part of the changes Matthew Perowne has been promoted to fund manager of the Invesco Perpetual European Opportunities fund, assisting lead manager Adrian Bignell. Perowne joined Invesco in 2010 as a trainee analyst within the European Equities team.

Taylor, who is also head of European equities at Invesco, says: “These promotions are in recognition of Oliver and Matthew’s contribution to the success of our European equities franchise. The IP European equities team continues to grow and focus on delivering strong long-term returns for our clients.

“With supportive conditions for European equities prevailing as we head into 2016, we are optimistic on the outlook for the region and our highly-experienced team is well-positioned for the year ahead.”
