Internet search tool seeks more IFAs for referrals

Internet search engine Moneysupermarket.com is looking for more intermediary partners to join its referral service.

Moneysupermarket has signed deals with Yahoo and personal finance website Doshpoint to supply a mortgage service which it hopes will increase the number of leads to IFAs by 100 a day.

It already provides a search tool to portals including the Daily Mail&#39s thisismoney, ft.com, Freeserve and BTopenworld. Consumers can search the entire market for mortgages, personal loans, insurance, credit cards, cash Isas and current accounts.

Moneysupermarket&#39s referral service allows consumers wanting advice to click a button requesting a call from an IFA. An IFA firm signed up to the site then contacts the consumer.

The deal with Doshpoint will give IFAs signed up to the referral service access to up to 25,000 new customers.

Moneysupermarket says consumer demand for advice is high and it is looking for additional intermediary partners. It already works with InterAlliance but would like more IFA firms to get on board.

Chief executive Simon Nixon says: “We are delighted to have signed deals with Doshpoint and Yahoo and believe such deals will provide intermediaries with a whole new way of sourcing targeted and valuable customer leads.”
