Interest rates on hold

The Bank of England today announced that interest rates would stay at 4.75 per cent.
In a widely anticpated move the governors decided that no change to the base rate was necessary.
Experts are widely predicting a rise in rates later this year with the possibility that they will stabilise or maybe even fall away in the later half of the year.
