Instant brand switching

Software provider Focus Solutions is offering a flexible sales process technology solution to allow firms and providers to change business models as they try to cope with the dash for distribution.

Multi-Channel Advice can be deployed in any business channel – IFA, tied or multi-tied – and allows straightforward changes and amendments to be made by businesses themselves to cope with changing status.

Focus says MCA means providers and intermediaries in multi-tie deals can instantaneously switch the branding of their pointof-sale operations with no cost. Focus believes providers and intermediaries will find this flexibility appealing as they look ahead to increased mergers, acquisitions and tie-ups.

MCA is a reusable component-based system that can be set up for direct sales, IFA extranet, distributor firms and worksite marketing. The systems can be adapted for telesales and internet sales.

Focus marketing and planning director Claire Forrest says: “The MCA solution means providers and intermediaries can switch brands on their point-ofsale software in seconds, if they change their multi-tie relationships or if they get bought up.

“The system is designed for the dash for distribution, and to avoid companies having to become lumbered with systems they may not need a few months later if their business model changes.”
