Infinity Mortgages launches new packager Infocus Mortgage Company

Infinity Mortgages has launched a new packaging company to the market under the name of Infocus Mortgage Company.

This comes as Infinity head of marketing Simon Biddle says it will be relaunching back into the market as a lender in the coming weeks after it withdrew from the market early last month.

“We’re absolutely confident that we’ll have new products and a funding line soon. We’re in talks with a number of people and we just need to agree the quantum of funding but this could happen in the next few weeks.”

Biddle says that it is still continuing talks with its former backer, Investec.

He adds that it has had to make tough decisions over the last few weeks which saw it lose 24 members of staff. But Biddle says it will not be making any further redundancies.

Biddle says that Infocus Mortgage Company has already done its first bit of business, with Jason Neil appointed as managing director of the packager.

“In our original guise we were a branded lender so we’ve got a lot of the skils in house so we felt that we could launch a packager. We had our first piece of business this morning and we’ve effectively bought a packager to the market in just 10 days,” says Biddle.
