Industry experts debate the investment issues

Next month’s Money Marketing Live will once again provide intermediaries with access to the leading experts from the investment fund management industry.

Taking place at London Olympia on May 5, the Fund Strategy arena will bring together an unprecedented number of presentations, workshops and seminars.

Key figures from leading investment firms will be speaking at the event on a wide range of issues from property investment to asset allocation, including Seven Investment Management co-founder Justin Urquhart-Stewart and DWS Investments global economist Steven Bell.

Deutsche Property Asset Management head of business development Simon Redman will discuss the potential pitfalls of investing in property funds, in particular the lack of transparency of information available. He will offer advice on what attributes of different types of fund to look for.

Also speaking will be Winterthur Life investment distribution manager Bern-ard Henshall who will identify the key issues surroun-ding portfolio and retirement planning.

A must-see at this year’s event is the Investment Question Time, where visitors will be able to question leading experts on the current investment climate.

Panellists will debate what is a suitable portfolio balance for current market conditions and where are the best places to seek relevant information. They will include InvaTrust chief executive David Harris, Gerrard director Brian Tora and Newton director of private investment Harry Morgan.

The Fund Strategy Arena takes place as part of Money Marketing Live and will feature 50 key industry speakers in total and over 100 exhibitors from across financial services. Along with seminar sessions, delegates will also be able to network with fund managers in the exhibition hall.
