The first online personal finance magazine for the gay community has been launched at www.pinkfinance.com. Its editor is IFA Chris Morgan, who set up Compass Financial Advisers for gay clients in 1999. Pinkfinance.com aims to deliver an impartial view of financial services through its knowledge of issues facing the gay community.
Morgan estimates the pink market could be worth up to £95bn in income terms for the industry. This is based on estimates that one in 10 of the UK's population are gay or lesbian, equivalent to 3.6 million people.
